Last week, the Center for Maritime Economics and Logistics (MEL) was present at the Global Maritime Summit (GMI) event in Mumbai, India, and it was an unforgettable experience!

Our colleague Maurice Jansen (Port Ecosystems Expert) had the incredible opportunity to connect with a multitude of enthusiastic individuals eager to advance their education and careers in the maritime industry. We were thrilled to see the overwhelming interest and passion for pursuing higher education within this dynamic field.

To all of you who visited our stall, thank you! Your curiosity and ambition fuel our commitment to providing top-notch education and helping you achieve your academic and professional aspirations.

Stay tuned for more updates, as we continue to empower the next generation of maritime leaders. We can’t wait to embark on this exciting journey with you!

It is always a pleasure to reconnect with MEL Alumni, especially with an alumnus from the first ever MEL Class, Class of 2001.

We had the honor of Mr. Zhongyi (John) Su visiting us at the MEL Office almost 20 years after graduating from MEL. It was great to catch up and hear how far John has come in his career. He is the Founder, President and CEO of Erasmus Shipinvest Group, managing an established ocean-going fleet of modern Handysize – Ultramax – Panamax – Kamsarmax – Capesize bulk carriers, which are serving the world’s leading Commodities Majors/Traders type of Charterers on long-term employment basis

We are pleased to publish photos taken during a successful MEL Alumni event held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The MEL trip to Copenhagen was a great success. In the three days we were there the MEL Students got to visit the Copenhagen Malmo Port, DFDS, Maersk and receive a full day BIMCO training on Chartering at the BIMCO House.
