MEL Students Visit Lauritzen Bulkers During Annual Copenhagen Study Trip

The MEL Class of 2026 is in Copenhagen this week for the programme's annual study trip, getting direct access to one of Denmark's leading bulk shipping companies and the people running it.

Students were welcomed at Lauritzen Bulkers A/S, operating a fleet of 100 vessels worldwide. The visit included a presentation and Q&A with senior company representatives, giving students a behind-the-scenes look at how a major shipping company manages operations and commercial affairs during challenging market conditions.

The session also shed light on the Danish traineeship programme for shore-based maritime roles, a valuable entry point into the industry for ambitious graduates.

The annual study trip is a core part of the MEL experience, taking students beyond the classroom and into direct conversation with industry leaders across Europe's major maritime hubs.
