Celebrating our MEL Class of 2025

MEL graduating class of 2025

Last week, we celebrated a milestone moment, the graduation of the MEL Class of 2025. It’s been a journey of hard work, resilience, collaboration and growth, and we are deeply proud of all our graduates.

Highlights from the ceremony:

  • We were honored to have Willem Bentinck, Chairman of the Dutch Maritime Pilots’ Corporation, deliver our keynote address. His remarks resonated deeply with students, faculty, and guests alike.
  • The MEL Best Thesis Award was presented to Bagus Made Angistra by Natasha Angelina, Managing Director of Maersk Line Netherlands B.V.
  • The Student Excellence Award (for highest overall grade) went to Chengjun Zhuang, presented by Jeroen Dudley-Owen, Trade-lane Manager at Stolt Tankers.
  • A special moment came when Alejandro Brizuela Gutierrez, on behalf of the graduating class, delivered a heartfelt speech acknowledging their journey and aspirations.

Graduation is more than a ceremony;  it’s a transition. Our Class of 2025 graduates from MEL with knowledge, as well as confidence, networks, and a readiness to contribute meaningfully to maritime economics and logistics.

Congratulations to all graduates! We look forward to following and supporting your future successes.
