It is with great sadness I must inform you that John Paul Broeders, Chairman and CEO of Royal Vopak, passed away last night at the age of 47.

One of the most enthusiastic supporters of MEL, Chairman of the MEL Advisory Board, and a regular in our classroom, JP was above all one of the most successful businessmen of this country and one of Rotterdam’s most beloved boys.

For all those who had the pleasure and privilege to interact with him I attach a photo from “his” 2005 MEL Graduation (with his good Erasmus tie…)

We will all miss you very dearly JP.
