The Executive Board of Erasmus University Rotterdam has established a rotating chair at
Erasmus School of Economics, named after the founder and first managing director of the
Econometric Institute, Henri Theil.

Erasmus School of Economics is pleased to announce that Sir Clive W.J. Granger will be the
first to hold the Henri Theil Chair. In 2003 Professor Granger received a Nobel prize for
Economy. On June 15th 2006 he will also receive an honorary doctorate at Erasmus University
Rotterdam.
