The MAERSK-MEL Series of Maritime Economics

In 2007, MEL and the Maersk Group (Maersk Line and APM Terminals) introduced a series of lectures in Maritime Economics and Logistics, focusing on container charter market; KG schemes; container terminal management; logistics; and regulatory/policy issues. In addition to this and the Maersk Line best MEL Thesis Award, the group also hosts two summer internships every year (liner and terminals). The University’s appreciation of this milestone development was eloquently summarized by our Dean: “So, then, the leading maritime group joins forces with the leading maritime course!”
