 Mr. Bourne was appointed Executive Director of the ELAA September, the 1st 2005. His main functions include laying the foundation for a new regime in the container shipping industry; representing the industry to the EU Commission and the public at large; and, promoting the profile of the industry on a European level. Before joining ELAA, Mr. Bourne was the Managing Director of MOL (Europe). He is also a Board Director of the Port of Tyne Authority.
